The International Committee of the Red Cross – a worldwide, neutral organisation that helps those affected by conflict or war – partners with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent – an independent humanitarian organisation based in Damascus – to provide aid and relief in Syria.
“But the scale of the crisis is greater than anything we have faced in the last 15 years. We must do more.”
According to the website, their team has carried out 55 cross frontline operations, bringing food and essential aid to 8 million people and clean water to millions more.
“Thanks to our joint efforts with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, we are able to help people in areas that few other humanitarian organizations can reach.”
